iPhone iOS5 problems using 1.4.4

I upgraded my iPhone to iOS5 today. When its complete you also have to update all your apps. I did so. There was no change in version number for comfort apps, I was already on the latest one.

Following this I now have difficulty with the Comfort app connecting. Mostly it will not connect. Sometimes it gives the \"data error\". Sometimes it does connect after the \"Comfort Systems\" page is opened and closed.

Some observations:

\"Comfort Systems\" is not selecting a default? If I press the \"key\" symbol on the opening page, the \"comfort systems\" page opens. If I then press \"done\" it says \"please select system before pressing done\". Maybe this is by design.

Mostly if the \"system\" page is set to LAN and the app is closed, then started again, and then I open the \"comfort systems\" page, then the \"system\" page is opened, and then closed, and return to the main page, the app is \"connected\". So on LAN I can \"force\" it to connect through this convoluted mechanism.

Unfortunately with \"internet\" I cannot work out any pattern. I rarely can get connected following entry to the \"system\" page. More times I get \"data\" errors.

I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, with reentry of settings and restoring the crlccip file. All to no avail.

I think this has something to do with the selection of the \"default\" or last used \"comfort system\" for connection. When the app is closed and you re-open it my app seems to have lost memory of the connection it had, or the current state of the system (LAN or internet). The same seems true if you try to change the connection type when the app is open. Then you get \"data errors\".

However if you try again / wait++++ / it seems that I can get connected. But I am not sure of the consistency of this.

That is correct. You alwats have to select a Comfort system when you press the key to go to the Comfort systems page, it does not have a default.

But if you exit the app or it goes to sleep then when you return to the app, the previous system should remian selected

hmmm worked ok first time but playing up now....

When I exit (close down) the app the previous system is not selected when I start it up again.

If you completely close down the app (by double tapping the Home button and pressing and holding the app icon on the bottom until you see  a minus sign) then all the info about the previous connection is lost

If you are in the app and you press the home button to show the home screen, you can go back to the app, and see the previous system  to the right of the key and the status showing \"disconnected\"
The same thing happens if you double tap the Home button to switch to another app and come back to the Comfort app

It certainly seems to be a bit different but it is hard to identify exactly how.

The more comments from people who try different approaches, the better we will be able to isolate the issues.

For me, the problem seems to occur after killing the app and re-starting.

It does remember the last profile that I used but has problems connecting with it.

For me, it remembers the profile ID name but does not want to connect. Going to flip side and returning (i.e. re-selecting the profile) also does not always help.

Selecting a different profile, returning (to try to connect), then returning to select the correct profile seems to get us connected. The alternative profile didn\'t even need to be valid but I am still examining the options on that.
