A comparison of iPhone iOS4 behaviour with iOS5 behaviour using the most recent version of the Comfort app.
I have access to iPhones with the comfort app (most recent version) running.
Two are on iOS5, rest (three at present accessed) on iOS4.
iOS5 phones both have the \"data error\" problem.
iOS4 phones do not.
One major difference between them is as follows.
In a previous post ident stated that when you \"completely close down the app (by double tapping the Home button and pressing and holding the app icon on the bottom until you see a minus sign) then all the info about the previous connection is lost\".
When the iOS4 phones completely close down the app, and then restart the app, the last connection is remembered and immediately the phone restores the \"connected\" status. No selection of the system involved is required.
When the iOS5 phones completely close down the app, and then restart the app, the connection is not remembered. When the system is immediately reselected in 3G, the \"data error\" happens.
