All I would add is the 1 of the 3 keypads says \"Communications failure\"; the other 2 say:
\"ID# [number] Version 1.08r\"
\"ID# [number] Version 1.08r\"

You vocab download was corrupted. Please redo it and reset

I would add that red/green LEDs D1 and D2 on my SEM are now blinking. Does that help resolve the matter?

I would try to do it again but I cannot connect by serial, usb or ethernet; it keeps telling me no response from UCM!

Did you disconnect the Programming Cable between the UCM05 and Comfort or another module? That cable is used for firmware programming only.

I am not using the programming cable?????? Who said I was?
The fact remains that I cannot connect - connectivity to Comfort is very \"hit and miss\"/ unreliable. My system is down with no answer as to how to restore save for the obvious that the vocab is corrupt.

In such cases where we are not on site to witness the problem we need to ask all the obvious questions, like was the programming cable connected, as this would cause the situation reported. In fact, this was exactly the mistake by several other people who installed their own system. You should not be taking offence at these questions
Can you disconnect all modules from Comfort, ie keypads, door stations, UCMs etc except for the UCM05, power off Comfort and switch on again, then attempt to connect using the UCM05

ok. Thanks. I will try.

Disconnected it all today. Green LED D2 is a steady green on the main board. Tried to connect though the UCM (serial) and the problem remains - it will not connect; the message remains \"no response from UCM\".

tried to connect through USB and Network - still does not work. So reconnected everything; same problem. Also, as noted previously, the green and red LEDs on the SEM board are blinking.
