Can someone please clarify?

Are ARM firmware versions ONLY intended for boards with ARM processors ?

Firmware v8.xx appears to be ARM firmware - am I correct in this assumption ?

If I have a (say CPU9000 7.XX 'old type') (not an ARM processor) are you saying I should not upgrade the firmware to beyond 7.999 ?

Non-arm processors cvan also be version 8. You can scan for modules to check if it is Arm or not. If you have a non arm 7.xxx firmware yuou can upgrade to the nin arm 8.xxx. If you do Diownload firmw3are upgrade or Upgrade firmwqawre fdrom, Comfigurtator it will selc the correct latest firmware
