HA using UCM UCM/ETH02 (PC01-069A module)
#1
Hello,
I'm trying to integrate my Cytech Comfort Ultra 2 alarm system with Home Assistant using the Comfort to MQTT add-on.
My setup:

Alarm system: Cytech Comfort Ultra 2
Communication module: UCM/ETH02 (UCM PC01-069A LAN board with Tibo NetModule)
IP address: 192.168.1.230:1001
Home Assistant: Running on QNAP NAS
Add-on: Comfort to MQTT (successfully connects to UCM and MQTT broker)

Problem:
The add-on connects successfully to both Comfort UCM and MQTT broker, but shows this error in the logs:
Illegal Comfigurator CCLX file detected, no enrichment will be loaded.
What I've done:

Exported .cclx file from Comfort Configurator software
Uploaded it to /config/comfort2mqtt/ directory
Configured the file path in add-on settings
Restarted the add-on

The add-on finds the file but rejects it as "illegal".
Questions:
What CCLX file format/version does Comfort to MQTT require?
Are there specific export settings I need to use in Comfort Configurator?
Will the integration work without the CCLX file (with default entity names)?

Current behavior:

Connection to UCM: ✅ Working
Connection to MQTT: ✅ Working
CCLX file enrichment: ❌ "Illegal file" error

Any help would be appreciated!

Is it good idea to continue it using UCM/ETH02 ?  Dodgy

In short, answers to your questions and as per the documentation.

1. Eth02 is not supported, some function will not work.
2. The native CCLX file is optional, it does not affect the operation of the App. That said, there is no /config/comfort2mqtt directory. Please refer back to the Documentation.

Please post your cclx filename as you've configured it in the configuration options.

The cclx file is not really necessary for the add-on to work, as most things are done by the configuration.yaml.
I am not sure what caused the error.
It is not advisable to use ETH01 or ETH02 for this purpsoe as these products have been obsolete for many years and have not been tested with the add-on. Only ETH03 should be used

Thanks Chiu!

I was ok for last 10 years with my use cases using ETH02.

Any plans for newer UCM board model than ETH03? Before investing in to it I like to make sure that I did it right.

I decided to keep Comfort as stabile base with dificult controll layer my family havent learned how to use for 20 years

And HA and Node red on top of it

HA for controll and presentation

Thanks again

No plans to change to eth04 or othre modules, unless the ethernet IC stops propduction, then we will have to go to other options

Please let me know if I understand correctly?
Can I replace only PC01-111A and continue using same UCM PC01-069A or shall I replace entire UCM/ETH03?

I will check if Mindaugas S has one to sell. We met in January and talk about old good times and Mr Chiu Smile

Any web shop to use for EU delivery if he has none?
