What do people suggest as a good cost-effective solution for adding CCTV support under the watchful eye of Comfort?

HD quality video would be good.

I prefer consumer types like Dlink and Axis which can be placed anywhere, rather than fixed mount types

But surely they need to be fixed mount if outside.
