Stopping/Pausing/Disabling UCM etc

Just a quick query. Is there a way to get comfort to temporarily disable its interfaces, for example to stop executing Velbus commands etc ?

Just thinking outside-the-box here but how about trying to set the UCM ID back to FF via Comfigurator or the ID command. I have no idea if it will work.

Where xx = current ID, yy = new id.
If xx = FF it means the default id FF is being assigned to a new ID in ID setting mode
The ID is not changed until the ID is reset
Defined 4/8/12 for Version 7 Modules

You also need to reset the UCMs by RS12 assuming the ID was 12

But that may affect the references to the UCM in comfigurator if there are any

Was thinking maybe of creating a flag and using it as a condition before sending any commands to turn stuff on. Only thing is its a fair bit of work to rebuild all the macros

I dont think it would be justified, unless there is a good reason for it that would benefit many users

Well, when I had x10 about the place and I wanted to turn off automation while someone was working on mains wiring etc, I would simply unplug the rj11 lead and that was it
I can\'t do the same now that I\'ve gone to velbus!

Perhaps then a Relay Contact(s) would be better. No coding changes required. Have your UCM connect via a relay to the rest of the network. When you do maintenance then just disengage the relay and it will break the connection to the network. Once done just reenable it again.
