what exactly happens when you press * 1 together?
Do you get the message \"Press F0 on keypad?: What message do you see on the KP06 when you press * 1? What beep do you hear? If you hear a long beep after a few seconds it could mean that you have not pressed the 2 keys together

Quote:Please note that I don\'t have the UCM to use configurator . Get one bought it will be so much easier to configure the system.

After pressing * and 1 together , there is no change in screen display , it keeps on showing the same message \' wrong text press * & 1 together\' . If I press and leave then there will be one beep sound during the one second that my fingers were on keys and then silence . If I keep the keys pressed, then the beeps I hear is short repeating beeps until I keep the keys pressed and then nothing after I let go.
Thanks Alex

What is the firmware version of the Comfort?
You can see the firmware on a label on the U1 IC Otherwise go to Keypad press F0 6789# Press 7,4,3 for System Number What is announced? It may be that your Comfort is an old version that does not support the KP06

Hi , U1 IC writes ULT 5.214
IF this version does not support KP06 , then what are my options . I bought all these products from abroad and replacement might be the most difficult option .

The KP06 manual https://www.cytech.biz/keypad_manuals.html states that the minimum Comfort firmware to support KP06 is 6.003
If you had a UCM you would be able to upgrade the Comfort firmware from 5.214 using the programming cable see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1216.html Like BS85 suggests, you should get a UCM, either USB or Ethernet as it would make your programming much simpler

N/O = Normally Open contact
N/C = Normally Closed contact Basically when the sensor (PIR / Smoke detector) is activated it will either CLOSE the two contacts (A/B) or OPEN them Regarding the power to the sensors - Just take all the +ve wires from the sensor cable runs within the Comfort enclosure, solder them together and then connect to to +12v on the Comfort board. Do the save with the -ve (to 0v) As for the BellBox connections, check with the distributor or manufacturer as they will be best placed to know the wiring diagram

hi ,
I ordered UCM , got it and used it to upgrade the firmware of comfort ultra successfully . Now the KP06 is fine . However it says phone trouble message , which i understand is because there is no phone line yet in the house , it being a new house . The phone line is expected next week . I know that i can ignore this warning of phone trouble for a while and move on to install other things. And this brings me back to the original topic of this thread .. the Door station DS02 and DM02 issue ... 1) there is no sound of bell when i press the bell button on DS02. I have connected a telephone and i am hoping it to ring when DS02 bell is pressed. 2) the test button on DM02, when pressed also does not produce any ring 3) No light is ON on DM02. 4) The comfigurator does not show any door stattions installed , when i use it to scan for door stations . HOWEVER the door station DS02 light is lit !!!! Does this means i made any mistake in DS02 - DM02 - comfort connections ? or all the above will be solved if and when i have a telephone libe Thanks and regards Alex 2)

If you do not find a door station after a scan there may be a problem with the Comfort to DM02 connection
Check the 4 way white cable is connected securely and the DM02 id is set to 1, ie A B C are inserted |
