Hi,

I\'m new to the forum and will be new to the Comfort system in the very near future!

I\'ve installed Uponor underfloor heating in my house and would like to know if anyone has used the same company and how they have used their room thermostats?

I have not heard of anyone using that system before
For control of heating systems either the thermostat has a control interface for 3rd party equipment to control or you must use relays to control the valves and mechanisms in the system.

is there any documentation I can study to take care of the relays I need do you know???

Sorry that I dont have any practical advice to give as we are not familiar with underfloor heating where we come from.

I assume the heating system works by controlling valves to regulate the flow of hot water. These are typically controlled by relays. For Comfort to control the system, it has to work with the existing controls so that both the existing controls and Comfort can control the system. Hence the system must be studied carefully.

Perhaps you can ask the manufacturer how an external system can control the heating?

I was interested to know if you managed to figure out these uponor room thermostats, for use with Comfort? I just bought a box of them cheep on eBay and was going to use them in my next project. Smile

I was hoping they just had an open collector output, but there are only 2 terminals on each stat. It looks to me like they only talk to the uponor control centre, which in turn operates a relay output to control valves and boiler.:X

Not yet! I\'ve been in-touch with Uponor Technical and have had replies that don\'t solve my problem!

I\'ve had to leave the heating for a while (other building things to do!) but I will get back to it as soon as I can.

There must be a way to do it!!!!

If I get any success I will be in touch!

I suspect you may have to buy their control box and then use the relay outputs to control comfort; it would be great if you could interface the stats direct. Also there are only 2 terminals on the thermostats, so I imagine the Supply will use them and the data from the Stat will be modulated on top of the supply.
I only had a quick look at them, but they do seem to be more than a simple room stat; it looks like they have a remotly triggered temperature set back facility.
