Remote controlled thermostat

Hello,

I have a cottage that has electric baseboard heat. Each room has a thermostat. There are 8 thermostats in total. I would like to have a system that I can remotely change the cottage heating environment to a preprogrammed mode by telephone or internet. i.e. One simple telephone call or web visit to select the programming mode of each thermostat. I could go with 8 standard programmable thermostats to make things comfortable while we are at the cottage...but when we leave or before we arrive, it would be great to be able to simply hit one button (by phone or by internet) and everything goes to \"away mode\" or \"stay mode\". Does anyone know if the Comfort System would work for this?

That depends on what thermostat is being used and whether Comfort has an interface to that thermostat. If the thermostat has an RS232,  Ethernet, or Rs485  interface then it should be possible

Right now I have cheap rotary style relay low voltage thermostats that individually connect directly to a baseboard heater. I want to replace all thermostats with something new...but I don\'t want to open up walls to run new wires to achieve what I want to do. Any recommendations?

I dont know what is available which does not require hard wiring. Perhaps others on the forum will be more knowledgeable
