iPhone Application?

Does anyone know if a Comfort iPhone Application is available or even planned? I notice a lot of other home automation / alarm systems have recently released official Apple applications and I am sure we all agree that an easy to use Comfort iPhone application would become an integral part of any system.

I personally use C-Bus for my lighting and Honeywell Smartfit for my heating so ideally would like to be able to control these from within a Comfort app and maybe also view IP cameras. A home tab with personalised favourites like arm/disarm buttons, key lights, responses etc could also be a good feature.

Initially an app which worked over wifi would be great but the future possibility of securely working over 3G makes things even more interesting.

The C-Bus app will as you suggest provide some basic Comfort interaction and will be a definite first step but without the Comfort keypad the control will be limited. Also until it is able to communicate directly with the C-Bus CNI rather than through C-Gate running on a PC, the reliability will be questionable. An iPhone app which talks directly with Comfort through the network shouldn\'t have any of these limitations.

Is it possible for the 3rd party developers to share their progress so far? I am sure many people on here have lots of good ideas for the design / layout / function and would like to contribute to the development.

Any update ? We don\'t want Comfort to lag behind the competition.

I wouldnt have a problem having multiple iPod Touch\'s around the house as they would be a decent front end for control.

It is currently designed to communicate with C-Bus using a CNI but for people like myself without a C-Bus CNI, an application which communicated with Comfort to control everything including C-Bus would be ideal.

If the 3rd party developers shared their development progress it would give us a better idea on when something may become available.

According to the website

iViewer is an application for iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to control any hardware or software capable of TCP/IP Socket communication. One of the many functions of iViewer is home automation control. Use your iPhone or iPod Touch to control home automation systems such as Crestron, AMX, Control4, etc.

With iViewer you get full two-way control and feedback from your home automation system, allowing you to control your lights, curtains, climate and AV, just to name a few.

This indicates that it should be possible to control Comfort as we have a very powerful and flexible interface through TCP/IP which has been used in a number of 3rd party applications including the Comfort Client, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/

any update on this, I would love an app that could link in with my comfort.
I am using an x10 controller app on the phone at the moment which sends comands to comfort to arm/disarm etc but would be great if it fed back info such as if my garage door is open or shut etc.
