- ident - 03-12-2007 The beta firmware Ultra 5.087 for EN50131/PD6662 compliance was available at the beginning of February. Has anyone had this for testing and if so, is there any feedback? - ident - 03-28-2007 The EN50131/PD6662 Guide for Comfort was released in the installers forum on January 1st. This can be downloaded from http://www.cytech-technology.com/temp/techinfo/EN50131_PD6662.pdf This requires new firmware Those who want to find out more or to get the firmware please contact your installer or Cytech Europe - slychiu - 08-26-2007 Comfort is now able to comply to EN50131 and PD6662 (UK Implementation). CP9000-ULT/EN03 is the Comfort Control Panel part number using the new EN03 enclosure which has been designed for this purpose. Comfort firmware ULT 5.106 and above implement the requirements, and will be supplied for all orders foor CP9000-ULT/EN03 Keypads require special firmware, designed as KP03E and KP04E, the E suffix meaning EN50131 compliant The document \"Comfort Compliance to EN50131 and PD6662\" has been updated and can be downloaded from http://www.cytech-technology.com/temp/techinfo/EN50131_PD6662.pdf Installers are advised to read and be familiar with the Comfort implemenetation of the standard. A Comfigurator default template pd6662.cct available from http://www.cytech-technology.com/temp/software/PD6662.cct gives the basic configuration for a compliant installation. This template will be part of the next release of Comfigurator (after 2.2.1) - slychiu - 09-19-2007 Please note that only the part number CP9000-ULT/EN03 will comply with the EN50131/PD6662 European Intruder Alarm standards. Comfort packaged in 3rd party enclosures not supplied by Cytech Technology are NOT compliant to the standards, or at least Cytech is not able to make any claims about these. Cytech-supplied products will have the Comfort Decal shown below - Guest - 09-26-2008 Will Comfort still be available in the UK it\'s earlier more useful non-EN format (or can the EN version be configured back to the earlier more useful modes of working)? I\'ve done a few installations in the past where such conformance is not required, and might do again in the future, but I wouldn\'t want the EN restrictions on functionality imposed. - slychiu - 09-27-2008 I agree that the non-EN version is certainly more useful. The regulations are not designed for the interests of the end user, only the insurance companies and police The good news is that the EN configuration is implemented as options which the installer must enable, there is a document showing how this is to be done. The default configuration is non-EN as the same Comfort version is sold around the world |
