I have a light control module which has RS-485 bus. I would like to control this module with Comfort. I want to use 485 protocol for the communication whit the follows parameters:
Protocol: RS485 Half duplex
Speed: 9600 Baud
Parity: None
Byte size: 8
Stop bits: 1
It is able to use the Comfort inside 485 bus or UCM module is necessary?
Comfort has string processing capability?
How can I solve to this thing?

The parameters are compatible with the UCM. You will need a UCM/485 with a RS485 interface instead of RS232.
You can use the Action 197 to send any string to the external device
In Response Wizard this is selected by Output Tab > Send RS232
This will allow you one way control, ie you can send data to the device but not the other way round.
Can you let us have a link to this lighting system? We are allways interested in compatible lighting controls

It is good, but two way communication is better for me! Because this light control moduls use master slave communication...
But it is not big disasster, just I will haven't got any information from the modul states.
The two way communication is impossible with Comfort? Really?
I can try to find english manuals or links for moduls.

This company is an other Hungarian home automation company. They use Home Vision system with their FutureNow models and X10 devices. They main profile is FutureNow light control modules manufacturing. I think this light control module is very cheap for the Hungarian installers. I would like to use these modules with Comfort.
Unfortunately Comfort just can communicate in one way. That’s why I don’t get information about modules states. I would like solve this problem, but I don’t know how I can start.
It is not able to make two way communications interface with the FutureNow? Or do you know other solution, how can I get information about modules states?

Do they have any modules that is able to transmit RS-232 strings such as what the Dynalite is capable of doing? If so, it would be possible to send strings to Comfort to update status.
