Hello
I recently upgraded all my comfort firmware so it would be ready for the recent instructionson connection to home assist.I used the 'check for firmware updates' options and all worked successfully but now my GSM4 module will not send messages. It either sits at 'connecting to GSM network' or 'Signal strength 0'. Before the upgrade it sat around 2 or 3.
The GSM module type is '900-2G'. Its currently got firmware version 7.240.
Any ideas?
Thank you :)

If you are in the UK, 2G and 3G are being switched off gradually around the country. Your GSM Module seems t be 2G or 3G so you need to buy a new UCM/4G-7608 module which works on 4G. I beleive it may be a coincidemce that you noticed the lack of conection when you upgraded the firmware. check the name of the module on the GSM eg SIM5320

Hi Slyhiu,

The module is a SIM900.

I received a test from comfort about 30 mins before I upgraded but had zero since. It does connect to something but only at signal 0.

I am happy to purchase a new module as think 4G will be better. Do I just need the module that sits on top of the UCM?

Thanks

SIM900 is 2G, so it seems like this is no longer available where you are. You should upgrade to the 4G module CM/GSM4G-7608
