I want to replace a few words in the vocabulary, so I downloaded the voiceproc software but I have no idea what to do. The links to the voiceproc.pdf file don't work, so does anyone have a simple guide to just making a few substitutions? Thanks. |

The instructions for voicepric can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/voiceproc_software.html |

Thank you, I don't know how I missed that! Does it matter that Comfigurator has myma43.bin in the config folder and the myma_IVS.zip file only has myma36.bin? |

Myma43.bin is the result of Voiceproc existing configuration . When you use Voiceproc, it will create a new .bin file (use a different name) that you use to upgrade the Vocab in Comfort |

I'm sorry, I have weasted several hours on this but I cannot make any sense of the instructions! I simply want to add the words EnSuite, Rear, Shed, Sliding and Vibration to the Myma list. All of them apart from Back are listed as wav files in the Myma_Highpass.wvd folder, but not in the myma.dat foder. When I open the myma39.ini in Voiceproc, they are not listed. Can you explain what exactly I need to do? Thanks. |

I've used the ivs files you sent, and made some progress. I can create a bin file which uploads OK to Comfort but I can't get the words to appear in Comfigurator. Also, the options to save user word file and to Save ini file are greyed out in VoiceProc. Loading the myma43.ini file from above gives these errors: Opening C:\Temp\VoiceProc\myma43.ini [General] = VocabNo = 05 VocustNo = 255 VocSysVer = 43 VocUserVer = 1 VocTextVer = 2 LCDVer = 3 WavesDir = kate.wvd CompressedDir = kate.dat VCD_Quality = mid VocabularyFileName = kate43_custom.bin SentencesFileName = sentence36.tab LCDFileName = lcdkp_v38.cfg MaxSentenceLength = 10 NumOfSysWords = 207 SetVol = 0.6 TranslationFileName = translat36.tab NumOfUserWords = 141 UserFileName = resid36.tab NumOfTables = 5 [Tables] = Table0FileName = newtab0.tab Table1FileName = newtab1.tab Table2FileName = newtab2.tab Table3FileName = newtab3.tab Table4FileName = number4.tab WORD_PAGER cannot be found Error looking up word in C:\Temp\VoiceProc\number4.tab line# 34 : WORD_PAGER WORD_CODE WORD_EVENT cannot be found WORD_LOG cannot be found Error looking up word in C:\Temp\VoiceProc\number4.tab line# 47 : WORD_EVENT WORD_LOG WORD_EVENT cannot be found WORD_LOG cannot be found Error looking up word in C:\Temp\VoiceProc\number4.tab line# 48 : WORD_EVENT WORD_LOG WORD_ERASED WORD_DELETE cannot be found Error looking up word in C:\Temp\VoiceProc\number4.tab line# 59 : WORD_DELETE WORD_MAILBOXES WORD_PAGER cannot be found Error looking up word in C:\Temp\VoiceProc\number4.tab line# 79 : WORD_PAGER WORD_DIAL WORD_OK WORD_ANSWERING cannot be found WORD_MACHINE cannot be found Error looking up word in C:\Temp\VoiceProc\number4.tab line# 110 : WORD_ANSWERING WORD_MACHINE WORD_BYPASS |

You may be working from an old comfiguration Please use the attached configuration files The message shows where the error is found WORD_PAGER cannot be found Error looking up word in C:TempVoiceProcnumber4.tab line# 34 : WORD_PAGER This means that number4.tab file referes to PAGER WORD but the words cannot be foundThis could be due to the old configuration Last edited on Thursday Sep 24th, 2020 03:11 am by slychiu |

OK, I give up on this, it's just a mess. That's the same file as you already sent me, and the dates on the files go back as far as 1996! I'm using Comfigurator 3.13.5.0 with the latest version of the VoiceProc software and all I want to do is replace a few words in the vocabulary. There are three different dat folders which seem to have different selection of words and the documentation is useless. |

Sorry, it is not easy to follow and not easy to explain without spending a lot of time If it is just a few words I suggest you just use what you have |

That's what I will do, thanks for trying |

I gave this one more shot and finally got it working. The ivs.zip file above is out of date, but I got the most recent one from the downloads on the web site. Everything is now working, with one small exception. The KP04 keypad downloaded the new vocabulary immediately but the KP06 still has the old one - for example it shows store instead of shed. Pressing 1 and # does not update it. What have I missed? |

I eventually discovered that you have to press 1 and * (not #) to download the vocabulary on the KP04. |

Yes it is *1. This should automatically take place after the vocab upgrade, but you can pres *1 to force it |

It happened automatically on the KP04 but not on the KP06, even after resetting the system. I had assumed the keys to reload were the same on both keypads. Anyway, that is the end of my system upgradess, so hopefully I won't be bothering you too much from now! |
