I have installed a controil; panel and a Sem for a client, the problem is that the zones are not responding as they should. The SEM is connected via cat cable as per manual. the Zones that are affected in the SEM are 17/18 and 23/24 when used they show Inactive /active and fail to change accordingly, initialy I changed cabels testing contacts and Pirs, only to find the fault was directly on the SEM as it was tested directly by linking out zones and leaving open. Siminlar situation is occuring on Control Panel Zone 1,7, & 8.I swopped the SEM for another that I had and still the same problem occured, this leaves me to think that the problem is either the Control Panel is faulty or their is a serious fault in the programming. The system has been set up as an alarm only system so far and has been staged with 3 partitions.
Has anyone had any similar problems and were you able to resolve the problem
Cables and end products have been changed unecsearily to no avail, after which all end equipment has been tested working inc cabling.

I suspect the issues are due to partitions and user codes that are enabled for each partition
Remember that if you log in to check zone status, your log in code can only see 1 partition, which is the 1st partition that the user is enabled for.
eg if user 1 is enabled for partition 0 then it will not be able to see partition 1,2,3 zones status.
Even if user 6 is enabled for 4 partitions, it can only see the 1st partitions (ie partition 0). To check the other partitions log in as a user which is enabled only for that partition
eg user 4 for partition 1, user 5 for partition 2
A better way to check the zones is to use zecurity check on the keypads for each partition.
ie Keypad 1 for partition 0, 2 for partition 1, keypad 3 for partition 2
Press F3,2 Security check. This will announce all the zones that are opeen on each partition only. You can then open and close each zone and listen for the zone announcement on the keypad
You can do a test by starting a new file without partitions then program only the zones that were not detected but leave them at Partition 0, then test again. You should be able to detect all zones in Comfort and Slaves

Can you help me resolve this issue, I have gone through almost everything I can think of to get this system up and running, I have removed kpo4A keypads and set everything into a single partition, if armed from single keypad KT03 alram system works, I have a secondry exit/entry point but the alarm activates immediatly when used.
When all keypads are introduced in 0 partition the keypad will instigate arming system but as soon as you open the secnodry entry exit door get arm fail (4)
also their is a window when openend comes up as zone trouble when closed its fine (20),
all users set in zone zero except when partioned with an extra zone (all set up correctly and loaded to comfort & keypad.
I have been trying to get this corrected remotly, and on Tuesday I will be going to site with another keypad main panel board and slave board to eliminate possibility of board failures before I commit to this action do you have any suggestions, the programming as absolutly basic with no thrills at all...

This does not appear to be due to hardware faults.
KT03 firmware must be upgraded 7.082 to support partitions
Window reporting as Zone Trouble is caused by wiring or EOL shunt problems. If Double EOL resistors are used, the shunt must be moved away from the terminal blocks
After upgrading KT03 firmware, test again.
Do not start by arming the system. Go to Security Check on the keypad by pressing F,3,2 so that all the zones that are already open in the same partition are announced. Other partition zones are not announced. This checks the zones in that keypads partitions. Zone trouble is also announced. Zones will announce when they are opened, but not when they arer closed. Open and close each zone to hear the annnouncment
If you have problem on site we can do Teamviewer, but it has to be in the morning UK time

Thanks Slychiu, the KT03 is already upgraded to the latest firmware along with the two KP04A, I will be going there on tuesday afternoon so would not be able to do a teamviewer on that day,
I believe that it is a wiring issue but this would not explain the issue with the 2nd entry/exit point (when used activates the alarm system immediatly)
Will check the faulty zones for eol shunt positions.

Are he SEM's latest firmware?
Have you checked that the SEM's are working - if they have seperate power supplies are the grounds (0V) connected together ?
I've had trouble with partition 0 in the past so always start at partition 1.
If you have already set up then it may be possible to change all partition 0 references to next available partition number.

I've had trouble with partition 0 in the past so always start at partition 1. On the contrary, our advice is always to start with partition 0, Systems missing partition 0 may have problems as certain features may assume that a partitioned system has partition 0

Resolved most of the issues, swopped out the SEM and manged to get everything working, as it should and created 3 partitions without any problems, once it was all working I re-introduced the original SEM which worked as per normal!
There were two contacts that are still out but I have to mark these as damaged/broken cables (I did not install them)One cable failed continuity test, the other cable I think is damged and contacting another one, causing a loop and causing trouble on the zone (which had to be disabled in the end). Apart from that it is all working now as it should......

I've had trouble with partition 0 in the past so always start at partition 1.
From Partition Instructions.
"A partitioned system should always have zones in Partition 0, ie partitions should not exclude partition 0, as certain Trouble conditions eg Communications Failure, Power Failure, Low Battery, Phone Trouble are not related to partitions and so will registered to Partition 0"
