Hi,
Is it possible to set a dialout device priority between the UCM/GSM4 and telephone line?
I would like to use the UCM/GSM4 for all communications but if the GSM network is not available for some reason use the telephone line for external communications.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
David

No, the dial out priority is the opposite way, ie it wil atempt to dial out by the telephone line and if that is not available, use the GSM. That is normally preferred because it saves money

Thank you for the prompt reply.
In the UK the price of dialling out from residential fixed line telephones is increasing whereas SIM deals can be quite cost efficient, especially if the ucm/gsm SMS control is being used too.
Personally I would see it as a useful enhancement if this were possible but appreciate it may be low on Cytechs priority list.

+1 on allowing priority.
When someone press door bell i get charged 15p connection charge then 25p per minute.
If it dialed out via GSM would be free

+1 from me too.
Dial out on Landline to mobile phones is massively more expensive than GSM to mobile which is free!
This would be a really valuable feature if implemented!
Cheers

Maybe their should be a vote on this issue and try and find a work round to program GSM as priority dial-out as this seems to be an ongoing issue with a lot of people. I have to admit I would prefer GSM dial-out on my setup.

Am late here. Yes same issue in France, gsm calls are free ( 2€ a month for a sim card, unlimited calls/sms). Calls from my landline to cell phones are expensive. Any way now available to use in priority the gsm?
IS it solved by the tune in parameter"GSM priority" ?

In Fact, the next firmware release will allow you to set priority for GSM dialout instead of landline
Look for the beta firmware soon
