Newbie Question- Symbols in Response Wizard.

In the respnse wizard what is the Correct Symobol to use For the If Statement \"IF security mode IS NOT Security Off then\" Is it  <> , <  or  >=  ?

Actually I think it  <> is a computer language symbol. I never came across this in math/maths class
