Random Communication Failures with Keypads

Battery backup shou;ld not cause this RS4r85 problem. You would get a low battery alarem first
Commuications failure should not cause an alarm when the system is armed

I disabled the alarm; however, I was not aware that the keypads temporarily power down each time, and it appears to be occurring more frequently. Is there a workaround or configuration change that could prevent this?

The keypad should not power down each time. What makes you thinmk they power down?

I was next to both keypads at different times and they were off for some time and then turned on again.

Are the keyupad  12V connected to Comfort 12V or S12V? anything connected to 12V cannot be powered off.However S12V can be switched off by Response.

When Comfort is reset, the keypads nalso reset which causes the leds to turn off and on and keypad to announce security off. But that is reset not power off

We have nothing connected to S12V.
I am sure Comfort is not resetting, as opened zoned are not announced and the alarm mode  is not announced either.

I suspecty that the 12V power supply to the keypads are dropping to very low levels. Can you measure the 12V to COM  DC voltage with a multimeter?

It measures 14V.

14V is correct, in the range.
The only reason that keypads lose power is that the 12V voltage drops to a very low voltage. mDo you have battery connected?
The daily batery test will remove 12V to te4st the battery and this may caujse the keypads to9 lose power iofr the battery is not connetced or ios very low.

Yes, I have a battery connected. I disconnected power and the keypads did not lose power, measured the voltage, which was 13V.
