Home Assistant Setup on HAOS
#11
Your write up is helping me to sort my installation. However I am really struggling to upload the config file to addons_config because I cannot find it. Any help gratefully received. I’m a novic3 so this is a steep learning curve. !

You need something like the 'Samba Share' Addon to be installed on Home Assistant and then you can copy files to/from Home Assistant. Google is your friend if you are unsure how to do that, ChatGPT or Claude AI is also not bad either. Once done, follow the optional CCLX section in the comfort2mqtt documentation.

Thanks. I’ve got a windows tool working to get the file sharing bit working. On first looks I could not find the addon_config folder to copy the cycle file too.

The CCLX file should be placed in the Home Assistant /addon_configs/ folder. Ie a folder with comfort2mqtt in the name which includes comfort2mqtt.

You are in the 'config' directory. You need to go one directory level up/back.

That is not a Home Assistant error. I'm guessing the editor your are using is outdated or does not have a templates for this object. Please refer to the Home Assistant MQTT Alarm page as a reference.
