These do look better but not wanting to dismiss your efforts I think the consensus is that we do need a new keypad. If price point is an issue then may be you run with your revised deigns for now and work on an all new keypad (KP05).

There may be a consensus about the need for a completely new keypad but that is a completely separate matter which will take many months and require lots of $$$ and has nothing to do with this effort.
This is just about an improvement to the existing keypad design which can be done fairly fast. We are just trying to get reactions if this design is beetre than the existing one
There are no shortage of other options like Dynalite touchscreen, KT01, Companion etc for those who require high end solutions
But i still think that we need a flush mount keypad... i\'m not talking of a touch screen or nothing... just one keypad flush mounted... maybe this \"new\" one, but with the possibility of flush mount... i know that the volume control in the side is the problem... but maybe you can arranje that with some litle work... myabe if you get a box, and get a way of fit the keypad inside, even if it not totaly inside, but a part of it...
Absolutely and I do understand so as I said facelifts are better.
It is so easy for us just to request things but not have the full picture or appreciate the R&D costs and timelines. Having said that I think what many of us are looking for is something between a full-on touch panel costing ãããã and a basic plastic keypad.
I think I could sell flush mounted KP04\'s with a metal face plate even though there are others that do not like the design.
Maybe a third party could come up with a KP04 conversion kit (B&S?).
