I\'m a bit confused about my expansion options using a Slave Expansion Module as there seems to be several different variants, and I want to make sure I get it right before ordering. My current system is a CM9000 with firmware 7.160. I have a UCM/ETH03 and a UCM/Pi. Also in the same box is an LEM03-M2 giving a total of 24 inputs and 8 outputs. I also have a spare LEM01-M2 with 8 inputs and 8 outputs. I only need additional inputs for the extra zones I am installing.
Some posts seem to imply that I cannot add an SEM with an LEM03 in the system, while elsewhere it says it can be installed in the last SEM only - which is correct? If the LEM03 can be used, then I propose moving it to the SEM and installing the spare LEM01 in the CM9000.In that case, can I use the SEM01C, as I won\'t need any more inputs and I would prefer to use the switch-mode PSU.
So, I think I need the SEP01C, which is the case + SEM + PSU. Sorry for being long-winded about this but I don\'t want to order the wrong parts.Thanks.
with older firmware LEN03 could only be added to the Controller, not to SEMs
With updated firmware for Comfort and Slave, the LEN03 ca be added to the last SEMNot sure what firmware it is but update to the latest
Thank you, I have ordered an SEP01C from Hunters, but it\'s on a three week lead time. I had hoped to get this project finished before I have to go back to work!hock:
Just a few observations about the SEP01C, which is the case + SEM01C + PSU I received recently.
Tamper switches are not supplied with the kit. Will the old style switches fit?
The case mounts flush onto the wall, with no stand-off for running cables behind it. There are knockout holes for cables.
The mounting holes on my LEM don\'t seem to line up the holes on the SEM01C. I can mount it below the SEM, but there are no threaded inserts for it. I can install standoffs in the holes below the SEM01C board, but they protroude from the back of the case and foul on the wall when it is mounted.
We have 2 enclosures, EN01D which is smaller 310 x 310 x 95 mm, and a larger one EN03D 358 x 375 x 94 mm. The EN03D sits off the wall, but EN01Damper witches isitys flush on the wall, with knock-out holes on the bottom and sides for cable entry. If you have not mounted it prhaps you can return and buy the larger box
The tamper switch is ordered separately ACC-TAMP as not all users want to install them. This is a plastic white tamper switch which clips into a round hole, not sure what type of swotch you used before
The larger box won\'t fit in my location, so I ordered some self-adhesive PCB stand-offs to mount the LEM.
Also, note that the internal PSU overlaps one of the top knock-out holes, so it needs to be removed before hitting the knock-out with a hammer. Otherwise you will break the mounting lugs on the PSU - ask me how I know
