AC or DC - New power supply and pcb
#1
I have been supplied with an SEM01 along with a new 15VDC switch mode power supply (separate purchases !).
Upon booting up i found it did not work. I received a replacement from CBUS shop that did not work!
Upon closer inspection the SEM pcb has \"DC15V\" imprinted on the pcb. DC being polarity sensitive it also has \"+ve and -ve\".
It appears that the output of the transformer was wired the wrong way around on the transformer lead.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am assuming that the new switch mode power supply 15V DC output will replace in its entirety the old 14VAC transformer.
Although the new switch mode power supply is ( I believe) backward compatible. The old transformer will NOT then feed the new DC15V pcb ( as it is 14V AC output ).
CAN SOME ONE PLEASE CONFIRM IF THE NEW CPU WILL EVENTUALLY USE THE SAME DC15V CIRCUIT AS THE NEW SEM - IF SO THEN ANY C1 UPGRADE WILL REQUIRE NEW SWITCH MODE POWER SUPPLY TO BE FITTED.

Can we have the serial numbers of the SEM01 so that we can investigate?

We are asking Laser to check their Slave stock regarding the connections

I have recently pourchased 2 SEM01 from Laser and are waiting to be installed, These were bought with the cabinets, please let us know asap if their is an issue with these as I am due to install one this week. I will get back to you with serial numbers later if required. The PSU is the standard one in the cabinet 14V 2.5A

If the transformer is the old 14V type and not the DC type then it should not be an issue. Please provide serial numbetr to confirj
