I am having Daikin aircon indoor units which can not be detected for Run/Stop status with CSM03-PCB.
The reason is standby/ run currents of these indoor units are unfortunately not much differrent and also so small between states: OFF state with 40-50mA (Standby current) and RUN state with only 90-100mA.
So far I have adjusted sensitive jumpers, tried to open-short 2-pins of indication LED, double power wires going through hole of CT.... and still can not detect the right OFF-RUN states of these units via CSM03-PCB (which its highest sensitivity is OFF with <50mA and RUN with >100mA)?
Any one faced same problem and how to sove it? I connect these CSM03-PCB via RIO\' input.

You are usiing the old CSM03-PCB with indicator LEDs
Can you use the the new ones without led
Is the CSM03 always detecting curent when aircon off or is it not able to detect on when the aircon is on?
How did you measure the standby and on current? 40 and 90 ma seems to be to litlle
difference
If you reduvce the temperature setting, is the curent sensor able to detect?

Yes, it may be the old version PCB with Led indicators. It worked well to detect indoor units always \"OFF\" (even it actually running with current as was measured by Clamp Current meters, as low as 90-100mA). Or if doing twice wirings through hole of CT, it detect always \"ON\", because of standby current even unit actually being Off!
If the new version CSM03-PCB (without indicator Led) can solve this?

Uhm, do you mean Fan Med or Fan High speeds instead of Fan Low speed?
These indoor aircon units are indoor parts of Daikin VRV III system.
Will try tomorrow with lower tenperature setting!

Try lower temp and higher fan speed
we dont have the old csm with leds so we do not know if they have other problems
These were produced a long time ago, so it iss better to try new ones
if the difference between standby and oon is only 40 ma this may not work well

I haved tried with High Fan 24 degree On/Off: it work well!. Other cases, It did not work well for detecting state.
Therefore, It may need a more sensitive either \"CT-new\" or \"CSM04-PCB\" to install with newly energy saving equipment.
So far, it can not work to detect state with old CT and old CSM-PCB for normal operation (Fan medium, 25 degree...). Do hope there would be new devices/ solution for such cases in furture.

Any chance of ones that clip around the wire like you see on aftermarket units (my CurrentCost sensors are like this) rather than have to pass the wire through the hole (i.e. have to disconnect stuff) to fit it?
Just a thought and IMHO.

The sensitivity of the clip on sensors is not hgh as they are used for larger loads
