Backup Battery
#1
Hi, My Comfort has been working fine for nearly four years now. I started getting battery warning messages after the daily battery test. I installed a new sealed lead acid battery, I tested the battery voltage before and after installation. However Comfort is still raising a battery warning after the daily test?
Also I have tried to do a battery test from the keypad, but this does not seem to work. I thought that AC was supposed to be turned off for 2 minutes, but it goes off only temporarily (the AC LED comes on), or is this because Comfort has turned of AC and found the battery to be faulty, but then why do I not see a warning message?
Thanks

Are you using Comfort 1 or Comfort 2? and which firmware version?

If you changed to a new battery it may take 24 hours to fully charge it so you may get battery warning the first time

During a battery test, if a low battery is detected the test is ended so it may not take the full 2 minutes

Sign in on the keypad to acknowledge the alarm. If you do not sign in the low battery message will remain

I have been getting a similar situation, where I put a new battery in and got the battery low warning every day after. The battery has 13.8 volts but it does not support Comfort, when the mains is disconnected. It appears that it is charging the battery, but not giving back power. I have changed the half board, from another spare I had and everything is working fine. Before I buy another power supply part of the board and trash the old one are there any components you can think of that may have failed and are changeable by me?
Thank you

We have had some reports of AC Fail alarm wrongly reported . I am not sure iif this could be related to this error. Can you upgrade the firmware to 7.200 and let me know if itstill occurs?
