S12V on SEP not breaking with aux off command
#1
We have smoke sensors wired to a G2 SEP the SEP appears NOT to break the S12V when the aux of command is triggered (from system arm).

The S12V does break from the main CPU.

We did have this trouble years ago with G1 - I thought that it had been agreed that if you put an S12V on the board then it should act as such - I sincerely hope I not encountering old problems that I thought had been rectified years ago and are now re-appearing in G2!

I dont see any reason that it does not work
Can you give me the Comfort and Slave firmware please

However please note that S12 V must be programmed to switch off and on. It does not automatically do so at disarm. That behaviour was changed a few years back so that when a smoke alarm is triggered and it is switched off quickly, it does not reset the smoke detectors indication

My guess is that the J7 (S12V) jumper just above the RS485 4-pin header is shunted. When that happens, your S12V is no longer controllable as it now shorted to 12V. Remove the shunt and try again.

The text missing in comments is due the the \" ! \" character as mentioned in previous posts
Make sure that you dont use this character. It wil be fixed in te next release

I have just been to site again - IT is NOT the jumper (I tried with and without)

the S12V (G2) works OK on the main CPU but not on the SEP (G2)- please check and advise a.s.a.p

Thanks

Your Comfort firmware should be 5.054 or above. We have provided free replacements for all older versions of firmware through Cytech Europe or Andrew Roberts. Please upgrade the firmware if it is not 5.054
If it is a 3 hour drive I would suggest bringing a spare SEM as well

The SEM that was installed was faulty - I\'ve changed it and sent the old one back.
