Hi ident,
a couple of intersting things with the apps would be for example, displaying system time on the main screen, and a page to see flag status etc. Perhaps even the option of displaying some critical counters etc on the front page (eg, heating status counters etc).

Thanks for the suggestions
Displaying comfort time could be done, in fact it will be implemented in the next Comfigurator
I am not sure that showing flags and counters would be useful to many users, except the very technical and it would be quite cluttering
Any other ideas?

Just started to play with the iPhone app and a possible amendment is the option to have the voice prompts come through the app - this could be done via localise simulation as opposed to routing comforts voice to the app.
Also the ability to mute / change the keypad press sounds as these sound odd. Maybe just some simple beeps?

Hmm .. The voice menu is quite extensive, and it is not a fixed voice, it can announce dynamic values like the state of lights, appliances etc so it would be tough to get the app to be able to talk the same way
But do users really want to listen to all the voice menus when a visual interface seems to be more natural for an app?

I probably wasn\'t being very clear - Suggestion would be for some of the more important phrases eg Security State, or some important trouble alerts
The keypad tones should be easy to resolve however?

That will depend on what other users think
Annoucements may not be welcome if you are using the app eg in a meeting, as you may not want the security alarm or mode to be heard by everyone
The key sounds are also debatable because different people have their own preferences. many people seem to be comfortable with the \"chunk\" sound as long as it is not too loud

OK
Can i suggest that you take a look at two other product apps
RAKO because of is pure simplicity ease of set up and just well overall excellence.
Loxone because of the way that it uses the PLC building blocks to seamlessly create the app. So the programmer or person setting up the device builds an app (and the browser interface (they are treated as one) with out ever having to touch a graphic.
More specifically its blatantly obvious that you have had two software houses do the iphone and ipad - as i have suggested on MANY occasions in the past i think that you need common graphics between ALL of your components.
On taking a look at the app for the first time in a while last week it was noticeable how poor the graphic was i think you need higher definition or different file type!
