Old type UCM01 reuse?

Can I use an old type UCM01 firmware 5.92 as an additional UCM on comfort 2. I am wanting to use this to read serial data from another system if this won\'t make my system unstable by using this old UCM?

It should not cause instability but ucm01 is not able to read data from another system
It may be able to write data to another system using send text to rs232

Thanks for the response - I am trying to interface with Home Vision and can\'t get the HVXL software plugin to work two way so thought I would try a direct serial port connection instead.

If I buy a new universal UCM, can I reuse the RS232F from my old type UCM01?

Should I be able to connect Comfort to one of Homevision\'s serial ports for two way communication? - surely someone else must have acheived this by now!?

Yes you can reuse the rs232
I thought home vision is no longer sold?

Yes you are correct - No longer sold I think I bought the last one including all the add on boards. I think Comfort and HV work very well together and have used HV for past projects.

I expect I should be able to get these two systems to interface both ways with a direct serial UCM and one of the HV serial add on boards...
