Current Cost Plugin
#1
This thread is for the Current Cost plugin.

I\'m currently finishing this and it\'ll be available shortly after the release of ComfortClient 3.1.3.30.

Once the plugin is loaded and the (serial) comms setup then you can access attribute values on your floorplan(see attached screenshot of some samples). At the moment I am decoding the realtime stats that are fed every 12 seconds. On minute/hour boundaries large blocks of historical data are also sent up the wire though I\'m ignoring that for the moment. Once I get a graphing or datawarehouse support in ComfortClient then I plan to decode this too; at the moment it\'s a lot of info that doesnt fit with the realtime floorplan object model.

For more info on the hardware visit http://www.currentcost.com/. I have currently interfaced with the latest EnviR model.

Post any plugin-specific questions here.

In return this is where I will direct support, FAQs and tips.

I will release a version of the CurrentCost plugin shortly.

I\'m running on Windows 8.1 at the moment.

I had to buy a new USB cable for Windows 7/8/8.1 on eBay as the Current Cost provided cable chipset only works with up to Windows XP.

This plugin is now released and available for download at the usual links at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/1948.html or my website http://www.futurehomesoftware.com/downloads.html.

As this is a new plugin published since the current ComfortClient distribution, please download a newer whitelist file http://www.futurehomesoftware.co.uk/rele...teList.dll and replace the one in the ComfortClient program files folder.

If you don\'t do this, ComfortClient will bug you each time you start-up on whether to load this plugin or not.

I think I\'ll add a feature to the next ComfortClient release to automatically look for and download updated versions of the plugin whitelist as they become available.

Regards

Julian
