SEP01 Speaker Problems
#1
Installed a speaker and strobe on the SEP01 in my garage but cannot get to work properly.
When testing with a Low Level siren (Door Bell) there is no output.
When testing with a High Level siren (Intruder) just get a loud continuous tone.
Also there is no output on the strobe.

Tested on main panel both speaker and strobe work OK.

Any idea\'s?

It appears that there is a bug in the firmware. We are investigating and will update you later

We have a new firmware for Comfort 5.215 and SEM 5.215 which fixes this problem. The Strobe, Siren and Speaker on the Slave should behave the same as  Comfort
We have tested this, but it is stil considered Beta pending further confirmation
The beta firmware can be downloaded from https://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ultra_firmware.html and https://www.cytech.biz/semsep_firmware.html

Upgraded both the firmware.

High level siren now working.

But no low level siren and no strobe on the slave.

The low level speaker output still does not work for eg doorbell or trouble alarms (we are investigating), but the strobe output on the slave should turn on when the main Comfort strobe turns on

Can you confirm how you tested this, using what alarm type?

I was testing using Response Strobe On which works on the main panel but not on the slave.

Have just done an Intruder alarm test and the strobe output is working on both units.

The Strobe On Response and test strobe currently does not turn on the Slave Strobe, omly on the Comfort itself

The Siren, Strobe and Speaker on the Slaves can work the same as in the main Comfort controller, using SEM 5.215 and Comfort firmware 5.217

In Comfort 5.217, the Strobe test menu and Strobe Action also work on the Slave
