Some ideas for future versions of comfigurator feel free to chip in...
I do appreciate that some of the requests, although being borne from the use of Comfigurator, may well have firmware implications for comfort but lets start the list.
I do appreciate that some of the requests, although being borne from the use of Comfigurator, may well have firmware implications for comfort but lets start the list.
- Connection method/details stored per CCL, serial, ip, ip address etc.
- When coding responses, ActionBuilder should have a button to list all Reponses as sometimes it can be difficult to find the command you want.
- Action builder should have the rem(ark) option included.
- Be able to move responses up or down the code window on a line by line basis.
- Redesign the responses section such that the list only contains barebone code (responses) to have a functional security system. From there any changes made should be highlighted in a different colour. This will make things clearer. Then perhaps we can have a drag and drop function such that stock code examples, custom codes etc. can be dropped in as required. Could make for easier code sharing via forums etc. And make programming multiple systems with similar code more efficient.
- Response Window: Would like to be able to choose the default sort option (e.g. sort by name, sort by response no' etc)
- Timers: Have two types, what we have now together with Timers that have on and off times with on & off responses. I know we can code this already but it would just be a more logical. Especially from the clients perspective when using the keypad.
- Introduce repetitive events (timers), once a minute, once every 10 sec's etc. I know we have the hourly event and can code other durations but it would be easier to have this option already there
- Integrate real-time monitoring and control for debugging (similar to wizcomfort facilities), monitor outputs, monitor & simulate inputs, send X10 commands and IR codes etc. Perhaps these should appear in a separate monitor window
- Do function... Expand the commands options such that it can, do responses, do outputs, do Dynalite, do x10 etc. all directly. Again this would make coding more obvoius and easy to understand.
- Be able to download, sounds, mp3s etc. for reminders etc. Ideally be able to get Comfort to play these directly as alarm types (a selection of nice doorbells)
- If the above cannot be done (which I suspect would be the case as there is likely to be a lot of work there) have an emulation/construction tool for the \"sound types\" so it is easy to make changes and test before downloading.
