Bypassing a zone
#1
Hello.

....as i suspected, i need your help again.....

I am not able to insert \'Night alarm\' and bypasing a zone.

On the \'user-manual\', it seem simple. I only have to press \'f\', then \'window-key\' and then i have to answer the keypad Lcd-screen question.

Well, when i insert the \'night mode alarm\' and i press \'f-window\' key, no message on the keypad screen. I only hear a \'beep\'.

I try to \'bypass\' even from an x-10 command. I have configured cp9000 in order to bypass a window when it receive \'L16 on\', but even in this case, the zone is not bypassed.

What sensor is in the zone that you are trying to bypass when arming to night mode?
Is it a motion sensor?
If it is, then the more suitable way to bypass that zone is assigning a PIRAway zone type to that zone.
PIRAway zone type means that the zone will only active when the system is armed to Away mode only; it is disabled in Night, Day or Security Off mode.

F, 1(\'window\') is a shortcut key to bypass a zone.
By default, when F, 1 keys are pressed, the system will ask you to sign-in.
If you only hear a beep, there is a possibility that the default configuration of F, 1 keys has been changed.
You can see this configuration from the Comfigurator software > Control > Keypad.
Key 1 is equivalent of pressing F, 1 keys in the keypad.

And regarding your last question, what action you put in that X10 L16 On Response to bypass a zone?

You say you press Night mode key then F1 to bypass the zone

This is not correct

Bypass the zone using F1 before arming the system not while arming the system

If a zone is open and announced when you are arming the zone you can force-arm the system and automatically bypass all open zones by pressing the # key

eg Press Night mode key
Keypad says \"zone 2, zone 4\"  continuously if zone 2 and 4 are open

Press the # key. This will automatically bypass the zones and arm to Night mode

The zone i am trying to bypass, is not a motion sensor, but a \'closure sensor\'.

In the \'comfort\' key-configuration menu, i have \'F1\'key = Bypass zone and i have \'cheked\' the \'need code\' option.

I put in the \'L16 ON\' response the action \'Bypass Cameramat\' where \'Cameramat\' is the zone need to be bypassed.

I also have tryed to press \'F1\' before arming the system, first time inserting my signin codebefore, second time inserting my signin code after and third time without inserting my signin code.

In every case, keypad does not show anything in lcd screen (no voice because i don\'t know why, my keypad are always mute.....). After few seconds, i hear a long beep and the system remains on \'security off\'.

No voice from the keypad?
Have you checked the Mic / Voice wiring from the keypad to Comfort panel?
Make sure it is not broken and in correct orientation i.e. Mic wire from Comfort goes to the keypad\'s Mic and Voice wire from Comfort goes to the keypad\'s Voice.

No, the wires are ok, i am sure.... The mute keypads, is a configuration problem, but i will face this after solving most important problems.
At the moment, i am intrested to be able bypassing a zone.

A quick look at your configuration file shows nothing wrong with the bypass menu F, 1 from keypad.

I have also transferred your program to my test board and found out that F,1 bypass menu works fine.
And it also has voice menu announced from keypad; this shows that there may be something wrong with the audio wiring or the keypad\'s speaker knob inadvertently set to minimum hence no voice coming out from your keypad.

When you press F,1 on keypad, it should say \"Please sign-in\".
If you do not sign-in the keypad will beep after 5 seconds.

If you sign-in with your code, the keypad should say \"Bypass, Enter zone number and # key, Press # for previous menu\".

This is why it is important to have the voice to be working at first place.
It lets us know whether we have successfully enter to the bypass menu or not.

I can\'t help but notice that you have changed the default responses for Away, Night, and Day arming on keypad using the AutoArm action.
This AutoArm action is normally used for remote arming i.e. when you are not inside the house as this AutoArm will not announce any open zones while arming, it will bypass them instead.
Again, the importance of having voice on keypad so that you know which zone has not been closed when arming.

Please sort out the voice issue first as it will make the troubleshooting easier to do.

....oh, well, if you have tested my configuration and everything goes well, that means i have surely something wrong....

I have take a look again to the keypad connection and tested with the \'electrical tester\'... No cable interrupt, they seems ok.
The speaker too seems to work because often i hear a little noise when it would speak.

First time i uploaded ccl file, a message appeared in wich there was an alert message about \"vocabulary\".... i don\'t remember exactl what it was. I think a different version of the vocablary between Comfigurator and CP9000.

I have changed default responses of \'Away\', \'Night\' and \'Day\' mode because i am using Cp9000 via X-10 from a LAN in my house. I have many little lcd monitor in every room and they control a central CPU unit via LAN.
The central CPU can arm the alarm and if a zone is opened, the central CPU disarm the system and ask for closing the zone before retrying to arm the system.

I was trying to bypass a zone via CPU (X10 command L16), so, from the little lcd monitors, the central CPU send an X10 command to CP9000 and CP9000 bypass the zone.
But at the moment, i am not able to do this.....

I hope i have explain..... my english is no good.....
