How to stop dial out on an alert
#1
How can I stop comfort from dialling out when unnecessary ?

At the moment, I have a few numbers programmed in for the various alerts. Lets take AC Power failure as an example.

If I yank the power, Comfort reports the power failure as normal. If I restore power and sign in, Comfort still dials out all the numbers.

?

Thanks

There is not a way to prevent dial out for restore AC Failure when you have enabled the dialout for AC Failure itself
Most people would want to know that the AC has been restored. Remember that you may not be in the house when this happens

Even if you are away, it will call all the numbers. Why can\'t we have an option on the dial in alert or when you sign in to cancel the alert so no further action is taken.

All it does it dial mobile numbers many many many times and that can cost a LOT of money.

And if you happen to be abroad, then the costs could be very expensive.

I would suggest this as an additional item in the very next firmware release please ? An option when you sign in after an alert (wether local keypad or remote) to cancel the alert.

We will take a look at the possibility since you asked nicelySmile
No promises though as some things are easier asked than done

Any news about this!?
I have made some logic to disable continuos dialouts in a power fail situation. Like more then one power fail in one hour, only dial once! But i get the problem of the power restore dialout! Any idea?

It is quite complex to determine the logic when it should or should not dial out for a power failure restore. After all we do not want to stop the dial out when someone wants to be alerted about the restore

I cannot figure out a way that you can disable the restore dial out for power failure, other than completely disabling the dial out for power failure
Perhaps just do a dial out on low battery if power failure is happening very often and dont dial out for power failure

My suggestion would be terminate to the dailout sequence if the system state is \'security off\' and user1 sign-in code has been used to acknowledge the alarm state

Is this possible?

If you disarm the system, the dial out is stopped after the current dial out except for SMS and CMS.

It does znot cut off a dial out that has already staerted
