Connecting 12v power to detectors
#1
Hi

I have made a start on connecting up my PIR detectors to Comfort.

However, unless I am mistaken, there appears to only be one 12v terminal on the Comfort board, which can only really accommodate 4 or 5 cables.
I have 8 PIRs, 2 keypads and a Visonic wireless receiver that require power.

How do people normally accommodate this many power cables - run a single supply from the 12v output and daisychain it across one side of a connector block ?

Or is there some other simple/obvious solution that I haven\'t thought of ?

Cheers

Yes there is only one 12v terminal block supplied
There is an ADM01 Module which provides extension connectors for KA/KB, 12V/COM and Voice/Mic

Otherwise just use any terminal block to wire the extra connections and run it off the main board

Hi
Thanks - I didn\'t know about the ADM01.

How many 12V/COM outputs does it provide ?
And does it mount directly into the Comfort enclosure (ie do the screw holes line up with existing holes ??_

Cheers

It gives you 4 12V/COM terminals
The ADM01, RLY01, RLY02 are 1/2 size modules dimension 88 x 53 mm

The UCMs, RIO, LEM, DM02 are full siez modules 108 x 88mm

The mounting standoffs on the EN04 enclosure are for UCM size modules
The ACC-PLATE02 is a metal plate that mounts on one of these standoffs and has holes to mount 2 of the 1/2 size modules on top, see https://www.cytech.biz/Default.aspx?cmd=ID%2ftW5Xw2bTCO626ZAAInw%3d%3d&productid=128&categoryid=10&pageindex=
