Upstairs/downstairs zones
#1
Hi,

Is it possible to configure my Comfort II Ultra so that at night the downstairs sensors are alarmed but the upstairs ones off.  Ideally I\'d like all external doors, all downstairs PIR\'s etc alarmed at night.

Ie at X hours (say 12pm) each night I want to enable and then at Y hours (say 6am) to disable as a timed program.

If anyone wants to go downstairs during the night then then could override via the KT03 keypad I have at the top of the stairs if they want to disable.  Ideally they could enter 2 codes (when armed); one if they want to disable the alarm for say 15 mins (enought for a quick trip downstairs) and another code if they want to permanently switch off (for the insomniac children in the household) for a longer stay downstairs. Ideally too to be able to enter keypad sequence without having to login in and with no audio announcements to wake sleeping members! Smile

Is it feasible with system?  Any samples out there of sort of code that will do this?

You can select the Downstairs PIRs as PIR Night/Away Zone Type (immediate in Night and Away) and Upstairs PIRs as PIR Away (immediate in Away Mode)

You can use Time Programs to arm and disarm the security system

Yoy can use a response activated by a switch or SCS to Bypass the downstairs PIRs for a short time or to wait until no motion is detected for some time to unbypass the zones (but you must be careful with this as no motion may be detected if the person is sitting or not moving)

If you want no announcements during the night when the system is armed and disarmed you can use an action (Keypad N Broadcast Disable) to turn off broadcasts at any keypad during those times. This can also be by time Program
