Hi,

I purchased a couple of these recently and want to enable the audible alarm feature when my Comfort Ultra II panel is armed.

In the attached extract from the installation guide are the connection possibilities but I\'m not too sure which one is compatible with Comfort;  I was thinking of using a OUTPUT for this but what terminals would say \"OP1\" and \"12V\" connect too respectively on the Optex PIR?

Any help appreciated.

BTW if you are interested the full spec for the optex is at:

I find the instructions difficult to understand. Perhaps the manufacturer can be contacted

If  you want to use an extra Comfort output to trigger the audible warning, the OP terminal is normally at 12V and goes to 0V when the output turns on. The centre 12V terminal stays at 12V. The 12V dfrfom Comfort should go to the positive trigger and the OP terminal should go to negative.

You can also use a RLY01 or RLY02 to convert the output voltages (12V) to a contact closure

Hope this helps

Thanks.

Glad it\'s not just me finding these instructions difficult to decipher.

I\'ll have to email Optex then and see if they can shed any light.

I fear this may just end up falling in the \"too hard basket\" though and I\'ll go without audio.
