- miles_harvey - 06-25-2014 Hi, I would like to know if I can upgrade my UCM to an ethernet UCM? Motherboard C01-001E Rev E Serial A008777Chip 04.2048 inputs, 8 outputsRinger02, PC01-011A Expansion board PC01-003B, 8 inputs, 8 outputsUCM PC01-017B RS232, 4.101 KeypadPC01-007ASerial K01277 Comfigurator v1.1.3, US Residential, FS18 The system still works very well so I don\'t want to replace everything but the Keypad and UCM would be nice to upgrade. Any suggestions or advice - ident - 06-25-2014 You mean you would like to buy a new UCM/ETH03 for your Comfort 1, as the old UCM01 is a completely different hardware I think there may be compatibility issues with Comfort 1 I would recommend getting an upgrade for the Comfort PCB itself at least, as well as the UCM - miles_harvey - 06-26-2014 Thanks for your reply, Which of my existing modules will then work on the new pcb, and what new modules will i then be able to use.can you include the link to the proposed replacement board please - so i can read up on it.i would like to use X10, ethernet, adsl phone line or GSM, and possibly a touch screen keypad. - ident - 06-26-2014 See this topic for module compatibility between Comfort 1 and 2 http://www.comfortforums.com/forum16/1470.html It shows you which of your modules you can keep in an upgraded Comfort 2 system X10 support is still included in Comfort 2 but mainly for existing customers as the company x10 no longer exists |
