Hi,
I have a Comfort II system with a pair of UCMs (UCM/Eth & UCM/232).

I\'ve connected my PC to the UCM/232 and configured HyperTerminal as-per the documented instructions and whilst I can see output in the window (such as: IP0100) I\'m getting no response to any input.

If I type \"LIcccccc\" where cccccc is the PIN then I see it echoed back but I see nothing else.

(I am prefixing the command with Ctrl-C, which shows as a heart-symbol).

Any thoughts appreciated.

Make sure that you have selected the correct COM port on the PC which is connected to the UCM

On the UCM, look at the green D11 led. This should blink when a character is received from the PC. If it does not blink, that means the character is not getting into the UCM. This may be because of the cable, the port, the connection between the Rs232 submodule and the base UCM, or even a faulty Rs232 submodule

If you are able to receive reports IP0301 etc then that means that the connection has no problem

The problem may be due to the ID of the 2 UCMs set to the same
The UCMs by defaults are all set to ID=1 so one of the IDs must be changed to 2

Agreed re. receiving data.

I found out what the problem was. The ID\'s are different but the number of UCMs was set to 1 not 2. I updated this via Comfigurator and all\'s well.

Thanks
