Hi all
I would like to provide a remote speaker on my system which mimics the keypad speaker. I have tried the siren but it doesn\'t do zone announcements etc.

Is there a way of running an extension to the keypad speakers? Can I just feed the VOICE line to a small amp and speaker?

Your help and suggestions are appreciated.

Regards
Mike

You can use the AUD01 submodule which plugs in to the UCM

Connect an external speaker to the Line Out jack This allows you to hear all announcements meant for the Keypad
Wizcomfort software has a keypad simulation which will behave like a keypad with Voice on speakers

Thanks Chiu. I didn\'t realise that would plug into the UCM ethernet. I will try and get hold of one and give it a run.

Right! Smile

I\'ve purchased a UCM audio and plugged it in to the UCM ethernet. It doesn\'t seem to fit very well as the circuit board sits on top of the metal case of the RJ45 connector on the ucm ethernet. This doesn\'t seem right for starters. I have stuck some sellotape over the metal RJ45 case to stop it shorting out the audio board.

I have tried plugging in a simple earpiece into the LINE OUT socket of the ucm audio but cannot hear anything.

Is there something I should be telling comfort to let it know that the UCM audio is connected?

Thanks a lot
Mike

Yes the AUD01 is not meant to sit on top of the ETH02
You should plug in the AUD01 on the UCM first, and plug in the ETH02 on top of that. The AUD01 has a long socket which allows another submodule to plug in

When the amp and speaker is connected to the AUD01 any announcement that would be heard on the keypad will also be heard on the external speaker, but if you sign in on a keypad that voice is meant only for that keypad and will not be heard on the external speaker

Sorry, wrong information.
I have been told  that the AUD01 does not have sockets on top of it to allow the ETH02 to plug on top of it.

We shall send a new AUD01 through your distributor (which one is it?)
