- WMADKOUR - 10-24-2011 one our sites, rooms has Gypsum fall cieling (cave lighting) as a frame arround with a fluorescent inside, our doom located downside at one of that frame rips, the porblem is; once the fluorescent lighting turned on Doom can not receive any orders from remote till it switched OFF, pert in mind that the closet direct fluorescent is more than 1.5 mt apart, but there is fluorescent under the doom with Gypsum in between. do you have any idea how to troubleshoot that error or how to manipulate it ? thanks - ident - 10-24-2011 It is well known that some kinds of Fluorescent lights will interfere in the Infrared frequency band of 35 to 50 Khz. Try to block direct line of sight of the fluorescent source to the Dome, by putting a barrier between the two - WMADKOUR - 10-24-2011 thanks, i will try right away but dose the fluorescent behind the Doom unit has any interfere effect (emf or whatever ? - WMADKOUR - 10-24-2011 results: - Doom that fixed on gypsum ceiling with fluorescent behind: we blocked the line of sight of fluorescent , but still got the same error => no response till we switch fluorescent off - Doom that fixed on gypsum ceiling without fluorescent behind: =>Work probably any suggestion ? - ident - 10-24-2011 Can you show how the dome on gypsum ceiling and fluroescent behind looks like, as I cannot visualise it - WMADKOUR - 10-24-2011 ok attached illustration for common room - ident - 10-25-2011 I suggest to open the dome cover and use a cylinder to partially cover the IR receiver so that light from the fluorescent lights are blocked, leaving a path for the IR transmitter signal only to reach the IR receiiver. This may restrict the angle of the IR Dome receibing but maybe it can work in this situation - WMADKOUR - 10-25-2011 The problem that the fluor group 2 do not effect the doom but the group 1 (behind the doom ) is the one which effecting !! - slychiu - 10-25-2011 It could be due to reflections from the overhead light so some blocking of the light around the Receiver may help - WMADKOUR - 10-25-2011 The problem occurs at disconnecting group 2 and turned on only group 1, so there is no reflecting from surrounding ! |
