- ekarak - 01-21-2011 I have two cellular numbers declared both as \"Voice\" and \"SMS\". These numbers cannot control the system by SMS messages . Is this by design? - slychiu - 01-21-2011 These phones should be able to control the system via SMS. Caller ID must not be blocked on the number. The commands must be within brackets eg (411) which are the numbers to access the control menu, eg 4 for Home Control, 1 for Light and 1 foro ON. - ekarak - 01-21-2011 No, they are not able. checked with similar config on 2nd system, same results.I will PM you the .cclx - slychiu - 01-22-2011 attachments are not possible in PMs, please send by email to support@cytech.biz - admin - 01-24-2011 We have not received the cclx file To summarise, to allow the system to respond to SMS commands
- Swiss-Toni - 07-13-2014 I have a similar problem, my GSM no longer accepts sms or voice, If I take the sim card out and put it in a my pad they text messages come through as text messages on pad. The GSM has worked previously but I noticed on a few occasions when their has been alarm states ect that I as no longer getting texts either. It seems as though it is a communication error where while the card is in the gsm module it does not receive a signal. Question is do I purchase a new GSM module with UCM s mine is the older gsm2, or is it a programming error GSM has the correct numbers programmed to accept texts etc. - hendy - 07-14-2014 What is the UCM/GSM firmware version? Is that UCM/GSM4 ? as described here. Is there a back-up battery installed? When the SIM card is inserted it is as though it is a communication error? What is the LEDs status on the UCM/GSM during this time? - Swiss-Toni - 07-14-2014 The UCM/GSM firmware version is 6.081 The UCM/GSM is the older version GSM2 Backup battery is installed On the sub module R16 green flashing R13 solid red On UCM D10 green & D9 flashing D1 D2 solid red Busy2 solid red It would seem to me that the submodule is no longer functioning as it cannot accept commands via text and can no longer be dialed into, I tried another sim card but that did not work either. I do believe that it is a serious communication issue but I am unable to resolve it I am considering ordering a new submodule which I would rather avoid Since the gsm was bought in 2011 the warranty on it would have run out. Before I do so I would need to know if it is just the submodule I have to get or or the UCM as well? - hendy - 07-15-2014 D2 and Busy2 solid red is indicating the module detects no SIM card. The normal working indication would be Rdy solid green and the other 3 red LEDs off. Was this UCM/GSM2 working previously? Can you do a \'Scan for UCMs\' from the Comfigurator software? If the version 6.081 can be seen after scanning that means most likely the UCM base board is fine. - ident - 07-15-2014 See if the contacts of the SIM card and holder are clean You may like to upgrade to the UCM/GSM4 buy buying just the submodule. This is a much improved product and it also allows you to check the status on Comfigurator eg SIM card not detected |
