- Home - 01-20-2011 Any chance of a blinds relay unit similar to the CBUS blinds and shutter relay (but on the Comfort bus) - safety interlock - reverse polartiy and split winding motors - mains and low voltage - LED indicator up down - slychiu - 01-21-2011 Thats also a good suggestion - Home - 02-23-2011 Do we have any progress on this topic - is it on the agenda yet? - slychiu - 02-24-2011 Afraid we are not so fast - Home - 08-25-2012 I don\'t suppose....... - slychiu - 08-26-2012 That will be in the \"Intelligent\" RIO - Home - 09-01-2012 Not my preference If you have mains blinds then I would not want to bring the 240V blinds feeds into a main comfort enclosure. Take another look at the CBUS blinds relay - it is well though out and accomodates both reverse polarity (usually 24Vdc) motors and split winding (usually mains) motors. ALSO the CBUS unit has manual over ride - very important. Tacking it onto the back end of a RIO is not what we are after. - mikegriff - 09-02-2012 Hi Is it such a silly suggestion It will only need the KA/KB All powered locally It could control the blinds and give some cheap remote inputs to boot I\'m sure by now it could be fitted into a small smart box Mike - Home - 09-03-2012 Its not s silly suggestion at all and can readily be achieved. Here are the down sides once again - What ever is said the RIO option will encourage the use of mains power in the same enclosure as the main CPU or UCM\'s - In our design we always try to offer \'manual overrides. The CBUS blinds relay is well though out and inexpensive. - slychiu - 09-03-2012 RIO need not be in the same enclosure as Comfort, it can be separate I dont se what is the problem with manual override Cbus is not suitable for all installations. It is not cost effective to add just a Cbus blinds relay to a non cbus system |
