One thing that I find very annoying, is that I cannot stop the KP04 (and previous) from beeping when you press the buttons. We don\'t need it and it\'s not welcome in the dead of night. I do the same with all my devices, inc mobiles, and turn off keypad beeps.

Can the KT03 be set to NOT beep on any keypress ?

The KT03 as it is now is not able to disable beeps on keypresses. You can disable sound altogether if you do not need the voice

If we have more feedback that users woould like to have the beeps disabled then perhaps the firmware can be modified in future

It is quite easy to upgrade the KT03 firmware compared to UCMs etc because you do not need to put a shunt on PP2, or rather there is no PP2 header

Disabling the sound is acceptable to me. Be nice if it was programtic too.

ie if already in night mode, then keep quiet !

Personally I find beeps are reassuring. You know something is working!

You can get really creative and wire a seperate relay contact to the speaker to disable the sounds when in night mode. When an entry door is opened then have a response reenable the speaker so you can hear the beeps. This is all thinking outside the box but in theory very possible.

I think the firmware enhancement is a safer option

So I\'m going to officially ask for this.

An update so that the keypad beeps can be DISABLED. Putting the volume down isn\'t really practical as you\'ll not be able to hear voice mail messages unless you keep laying with the volume every time.

I don\'t know anyone who keeps \'beeps\' enabled on their mobile phone, for the very reason they are annoying.

I\'ll second this one of the things my wife has insisted on is no beeps in the bedroom at night! (When/If you do the change can you enable the beeps to be turned off per keypad)
