Any suggestion how can the home TV could be use as another means of controlling comfort system?

Hi,

You could consider having a look at the Windows MCE, which allows Comfort to be controlled via the TV. In fact, there is a thread on the Windows MCE http://www.comfortforums.com/forum27/ .

Can\'t tell where you are based but if you were in the SE of England we can show you this:

Nigel,

I am not in the UK. I just wonder how would the interface would work. Is it via comfort CWM, which displays all the graphics in the webser? Or it does not need one as the software (Microsoft Media Center) itself would have the tools to develop the graphical user interface for Comfort.

It would be great if you could send a sample grahics on how it would like on the Media Center.

Azhar,

There is a screenshot of the MCE screen in the thread on the Windows MCE in this forum. For it to work, you would need:

  1. A PC running Windows XP MCE
  2. MyHome software
  3. Either a UCM01 or UCM/Ethernet
You could, of course, link it up via a CWM, but you would need the CWM to be in pass-through mode. The graphics are default and you can only specify the buttons and status to be displayed.

Once you have the license it is easy to configure in a text file. You can set up the screen labels and associated Comfort commands.

My Home runs on a Windows Media Center or XP etc. and controls Comfort over the web.
