Hi,
I am trying to get a DM02 to act as a simple doorbell. We have removed the ringer from the main board and it works well except the client doesn\'t like the doorbell sound. So i am trying to get it to say doornbell or a reminder message instead and make no beep thru the keypads or internal speaker.
I have set the doorbell alarm type to not used and the response assigned in Misc events>Doorbell Response is

\"Stop Ringer
Announce Door Bell\"

The problem is it is still beeping thru the internal sounder using sound type Doorbell.

Any suggestions?

The Doorbell siren type is applied when the doorbell is pressed regardless of the doorbell alarm settings

Go to the Doorbell siren and set a very short duration 0.05 seconds. He should not hear that

Alternatively ask your customer to whistle what he wants to hear as a doorbell chime and try to program that as a  sound typeBig Grin

at 0.5 the sounders still beep.Tried recording a reminder off the speakers on my computer that was more pleasant but the quality was terrible (as expected)

Solution- Don\'t use comfort for the doorbell, use The AV system instead!!
