- John W - 03-09-2009 Hi, if I use a simple door bell button rather than a door station, can I get the phones to announce the visitor ? (just to ring is fine) do I need a ringer module for this to work ? (I\'m unclear as the details say its needed for a doorstation, but is it needed for a simple bell push ) This door has no need for a door station, and I don\'t need to talk to the person via intercom or anything like that. What I would like though is to get the phones to ring because the keypad cannot be heard from all areas of the house (or outside). Also, do I need to use a special action code in the comfigurator, or does \'siren doorbell\' (the standard response) do the job to ring the phone too ? This is on a Comfort I. Many thanks, John. - admin - 03-10-2009 There is an action Activate Doorphone in Response wizard, Security catergory Asssign that to the doorbel button zone. You will need a RGR04 module to ring the phones, but check to hear if the relays click when the button is pressed, because this action is a relic of the old days when there was no dedicated door station |
