I am not quite clear on wether the the ICM05 with an added ethernet card will still have  RS232 functionality, or if that is removed when the ethernet card is added.

The UCM/Ethernet is similar to the UCM05 except that instead of an RS232 interface, it is connected to an Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) using TCP/IP protocol. A UCM05 module can be converted to UCM/Ethernet by adding the Ethernet daughter board (ETH01), and setting the shunt J2 to the \"RS485\" position.
