- Jesmond - 03-31-2008 Hi There, Back in 2006 the facility to create partions were not available in Comfort, has this changed ? Can we do partitoning with Comfort II Regards Jes Camilleri - hendy - 03-31-2008 No, comfort II doesn\'t support partitioning. - Jesmond - 03-31-2008 Does anyone have a work around for creating a type of partition, as my client needs to have an area down stairs armed constantly regardless of how the rest of the house is armed. I dare say the client will almost certainly move away from comfort for this install if I can not find a solution. Regards Jes Camilleri - TheMax74 - 03-31-2008 How about using DAY MODE ? You can enable only downstairs PIRS in Day Mode. - admin - 03-31-2008 What you can do is set up the downstairs zones which need a partition as 24 hour zone types, ie Zone Type 26 - \"24 Hour NC\" Set up Day Mode so that these zones are omitted. Bypassed zones are automatically unbypassed when the system is disarmed, while Omitted are effectively bypassed permanently intil the zone is Unbypassed In the Day Mode Response, Omit the zones you need, eg Omit Zone07 Omit Zone08 Omit Zone09 In other security modes, Securty OFF, Night and Away Mode Responses unbypass the same zones eg Unbypass Zone07 Unbypass Zone08 Unbypass Zone09 hence if the customer needs to use the area set to Day Mode. To arm the area, change to Security Off or Night mode or Away Mode You can protect the Day Mode and other security mode keys with Require User Code on the Control > Keypad menu This effectively partitions any number of zones - Jesmond - 03-31-2008 Thank-you for the prompt reply and advice. - slychiu - 10-31-2009 Comfort does not support partitioning directly but it is possible to program different partitions using Responses.
