Ditto the query from above (now that I realise this Slave firmware bug is the issue I was seeing on my other recent thread
).Any news on when a new Slave firmware will fix the startup timeout for old slaves? It has been nearly year since the last message saying this would be fixed in the future.

Are you able to confirm if this has been fixed yet?
I am just about to replace an OLD slave module (one with the large square chip) with a 'new' slave module from Laser.
I have the same problem.... the slave from Laser is SEM 7.XXX ( P116908 )
First question
Its a very old installation and I last used Comfig 14. to program and download etc (see todays post ref ID 0 conflict !)
Should I now use Comfig 4.0.4.0
Second question
Fllowing on from this post has the issue with regard to firmware bee addressed and can I then upgrade the slave to v8 ?
