ok, so I am back home and have checked all the connections to the pir sensors and the panel. I\'ve also done a walk around check, and all seems ok.
All sensors are wired double EOL. The door contacts we have are also double EOL.
I have the cover off the main panel at present, and a screw fitted to keep the tamper switch pressed.
We have a SEP for the outbuildings, and one keypad, no door panels. I havent opened these up to check them.
There is no tamper connected for the bell box.
Today, whilst sat here working the keypad for the alarm started sounding an alarm, and it dialed the registered numbers to report a tamper alarm.
At this time, the alarm was set to security off.
Its just done it again (twice) while I\'ve been writing this.
It says \'33 Tamper Alarm\', and then a second event immediately clearing it.
Reading the manual it looks like its panel, sep, or keypad, and not any of the zones. Is that correct ?
Can I determine which one, or is simply a case of disabling each in turn (eg replacing switches with links) ?

Wild and 95% bound to be wrong but couldn\'t happen to coincide with a battery check or something and this not having quite enough \"oomph\" to power the whole system so things start to show as affected somehow?

hmm, good question. How do I know when the battery check is scheduled for ? (nothing reported in the log file)
I just looked at the manual and it says its scheduled by the installer, which was me :-)
Is this loaded via the config ?
Also it mentions a designated phone number for the low battery alarm type, is this different to the regular numbers used ?
Neither the control panel or the SEP are in easy places to get to (for an intruder), so I\'m tempted to just remove / disable the tamper switches on them.

Seems to be offset from last time of reboot or check ie.
As I said just a wild guess.

you may have something. Its always roughly the same time of day. I will do a battery test this evening and see if this changes the report time to match in the future.
The tamper switches are just that though, not a potential divider like the EOL relays. So unless the connections go high resistant the input should detect either 0v or 12v.

Tamper alarm 33 means its a tamper from Slave #1The battery check is always at 24 hours interval from the last check using F3,1 or from the time power was first switched on
The battery alarm Type has its own settings for dial out, as does the Tamper Alarm

Ah thanks, so that is the SEP, correct ?
I will go check / disconnect the tamper for that, and see if it stops it. Where is this code number written down, because its not given in my manual (v4.101 ;-) )

The ID numbers 33 to 35 Slave 1 to 349 to 51 Door station 1 to 365 to 72 KP 1 to 881 to 88 SCS/RIO
Comfort 2 will show the device name instead of the ID number

well today the tamper was detected yet again, so i went and played about with the sep.
I put it in walk test mode, and could get the tamper detected by pressing / pulling the case on the sep.
When I put a meter across the tamper switch wiring, it shows the front switch is not simply on or off. Depending on how far it is depressed it actually gives a resistance.
I have put a link in for now, so we shall see if it goes off now.

The whole system is probably 10 years old. The tamper switches internal metal parts may have oxidised
